In the era of the 21st century, everyone is fighting for their opportunities as per the rights of humanity. Women are, too, on the same road. The battles that women fight for their rights are the most controversial of all others. But, the courage to stand up for their rights is the first step toward success, and all those women who have stood up for their rights have received the destination in one way or another.

Looking back at history, one could say that despite women being physically weaker than men, they have always been equally, if not more, more potent in all other aspects. For instance, when taking a decision that requires emotional intelligence or rationality, even if a time management problem has risen or some last-minute emergency arises, a woman can handle these situations much better than other genders.

Many women across the globe have been working hard to reach the top of success and get their rights. By rights, we mean fundamental independence; freedom to education, freedom to choose a career line, open up about their preferences of sexuality, and pursue their dream life. 

Charis Jones is one of the women that come directly into my mind while writing a topic like this. Charis has not only broken the stereotypes to achieve her goals but has also opened the gates for many other women to follow her. She inspires people with bold life decisions while staying true to her femininity. 

The CEO and Chair Designer of the fashion brand Sassy Jones, Charis Jones, has never learned to settle down for anything less than what she deserves. Always approaching opportunities, Charis has worked in multiple areas of the fashion industry. Starting from launching her fashion brand with accessories in June 2013, she used to drive all over the country to sell her beautiful jewelry at events like Southern Women’s Expo, Circle Of Sisters NYC, Black Women’s Expo, and many more. After generating good revenue from her jewelry, she finally expanded her business and added other mesmerizing products, including clothes, activewear, and beauty products.

Coming from a background that could have held her helpless and not do anything for herself, Charis chose to bloom with her grace instead of letting anything come in between her dreams and herself. She attended Churchland for her higher studies in Portsmouth, Virginia, from where her journey of building confidence to be bold enough for her choices started. Later, she got her first job at a fashion retail store at age 16. There was no holding back for her after that. Jones walked off an after-school activity bus and proceeded to ask for the job without interviewing. She got the job on the spot and blossomed her exposure to fashion merchandising and design. Jones attended Hampton University in 2000, majored in broadcast journalism, and then changed majors to business management. While attending Hampton University, she danced part-time for the Norfolk Nighthawks Arena Football team.

Charis Jones is the pure motivation for all the young girls around the globe.
